Anthology Developer |
The Anthology Developer is used to create simple or complex Anthology Scenarios (applications) without programming knowledge like C # or BASIC. Using a simple tree view with icons, you create forms and add different controls, rules and logic by selecting items. These scenarios may be designed for mobile devices running Windows CE or for devices running Windows such as desktop PCs or laptops. Simple or Sophisticated - Scenarios can be a simple as a single form to enter data or complex programs containing many screens. The developer lets you determine the program flow i.e. which screens are displayed depending on your rules or directives. You may display different screens based on the user input. Easy Tree View - The scenario you create is a collection of forms, tabs, controls events and directives. Controls are objects such as text boxes, labels, buttons, check boxes, dropdown lists, date selection, and radio buttons. You can also create indicators lists and code tables and easily link them to list boxes, combo boxes and other multi item controls, populating them without any code development. Custom control objects are also included so you can capture pictures, display and then annotate them, or capture signatures. A grid object is provided to show data in a spreadsheet style display. Data validation is provided at the control and wizard level so you can prevent mistakes up front and insure your data is valid. By selecting any of these from the tree view, you can easily drop them on your form. Then the developer allows you to easily map these controls to your database tables and columns. Methods or functions for commonly used items such as GPS acquisition or barcode reading are built in further simplifying the process. Powerful - A powerful feature of the developer allows you to create database objects like tables, views, indexes and even apply referential integrity to your local and consolidated database. You are not limited to pre-existing columns whose names have no meaning. You name the tables and columns with names that make sense to your personnel. You may let the system generate SQL or you create your own custom queries to access and manipulate your data. Because our devices have their own local SQL database, you don't need a persistent network connection to continue working. Managable - Using the developer, you can manage what scenarios and data are sent to which devices. It also allows you to control the download of scenario or other software updates. This gives you the choice of when to distribute changes and to whom. This gives you a powerful tool for managing the software and database versions on your mobile devices. Compatible - Scenarios created with the Developer are compatible with common cameras, barcode scanners and GPS devices. Your scenarios can also utilize specialty hardware such as RFID readers, proprietary modems and other external hardware devices. Using the Anthology Developer, you can easily build enterprise mobile applications that perform data collection activities to work anywhere.
